1.fill v. 1.装满.填(空)2.供应
(be) filled with 装满,填满,挤满,排满
(full of; with all the space occupied)
例句:Chinese stores sell delicious round cakes filled with meat for the Moon Festival
中秋节这一天中国人开的商店出售一种好吃的、包满肉馅的圆饼。
fill in for 代替(参照 fill one's position, fill one's place, fill one's vacancy, fill one's shoes, take one's place, take the position, take the place of, take over...)
A:Roger was feverish yesterday. I'm not sure if he'll be up to attending today's meeting.
A:罗杰昨天发烧了o我不知道他能不能参加今天的会议。
B:Then can someone fill in for him?
B:那么能不能有人替他一下?
例句:Say, Dave, can you fill in for me tonight at the restaurant? I'd like to GO out of town.
嗨,戴夫,你今晚能不能在餐馆替我一下?我想出趟城。

2.possible adj. 可能的
as soon as possible 尽快

例句:Diane has mailed the form and the fee, and has requested that her high school transcript and recommendations be sent as soon as possible.
戴安把表格和费用寄了出去,同时要求将她高中的成绩单和推荐信尽快地寄出来。

3.twice adv. 两次
think twice (before you leap)再想一想,三思而行
(to reconsider a decision one has taken or think carefully before doing sth.)
A:I'm going to take five courses this semester and I want to graduate as soon as possible.
A:我打算这学期选五门课而且我想尽早毕业。
B:Oh! You should think twice about that. I wonder if you can manage so many courses.
B:哦!你应该再想一想,我不知道你能否应付这么多课程。
